My Elara: a HIPAA-minded practice platform for clinicians
A licensed counselor came to us with a practice that had outgrown its tools. We built the platform that now runs it: intake, sessions, assessments, homework, messaging, billing, and a super-admin console, from zero to production in 22 weeks.

01Overview
From four disconnected tools to one platform.
The client is a licensed counselor building a practice platform. Sessions were booked in one tool, notes lived in another, assessments were on paper, and nothing connected to the client record. Growing the practice meant growing the busywork.
We scoped the work in two phases on fixed-price milestones. Phase one delivered the MVP: authentication, clinician and client onboarding, intake, sessions, and notes, in production and in real use. Phase two added the assessments engine, homework and worksheets, journaling, secure messaging, billing, and the admin consoles.
The whole build ran 22 weeks with a weekly demo. At the final milestone the repository, the hosting, and the documentation transferred to the client. My Elara is theirs.
- Intake, scheduling, notes, and homework live in one system instead of four.
- Scored assessments replace paper forms, with results attached to the client record.
- Audit logging, encryption, and role based access were in place before the first client signed in.
